When
I saw Kerry in his cammo with a shot gun hunting it was tragic comedy.
This man is representing a party that believes the Second Amendment is
about hunting and not about self defense.
Many of the millions of American voters who own guns own them to defend
themselves not to hunt. The Founding Fathers didn't include the right
to keep and bear arms in the Bill of Rights to protect goose hunting.
That Kerry and most Democrats support the assault weapon ban and not the
Second Amendment renders then incompetent to lead the country in this
dangerous time and most people saw that on election day.
The Democrat Party is seen as the enemy of the Bill of Rights because
it attacks the Second Amendment, the one amendment that protects the other
nine amendments. If and until the Democrats reverse their position on
gun control they will continue to lose elections and power.
Instead of creating a nation of sheep by limiting the means Americans
can use to defend themselves they should take up the clarion call of reading,
writing, and rifles, advocate the teaching of marksmanship in schools,
and encourage gun ownership.
Bush must have been ecstatic when Kerry condemned him for not pushing
to extend the assault weapon ban. That was the beginning of the end for
Kerry. It showed him as lacking a basic grasp of the idea that most Americans
aren't interested in being protected as much as they are interested in
being able to protect themselves with the best weapon technology has to
offer.
The Democrat's bent for banning modern weapons from the public is the
same as the Republican's opposition to stem cell research, banning science.
If the Democrats intend to take back a leadership position they need to
take back support for the Bill of Rights starting with the Second Amendment
to the Constitution.
The Republicans own that turf and millions of voters understand that.
In simple terms you can't trust a politician who wants to take your guns.
Though I voted for Kerry it was more a vote against Bush.
